Rick and Diane's Wedding
Diane and Rick opted for a small wedding ceremony with close family attending to watch them tie the knot. The venue: Holdsworth House in Halifax. They requested photography coverage of the ceremony and drinks afterwards.
Originally Diane had not wanted any preceding shots, but when she found me lurking round the dining room photographing the cake (I'd arrived early as usual)and I was invited to get a few sneaky 'getting ready' shots. After that I went downstairs to meet the family as they arrived and get some pre-wedding photos as they greeted each other and made last minute preparations to their outfits. The ceremony was in a small old atmospheric room and Diane made a dramatic entrance from a staircase at the side. She looked absolutely stunning and was accompanied by her gorgeous bridesmaids: her sister, niece and daughter. Imogen (her niece) gave a reading and then it was official: Diane and Rick had tied the knot!!
Drinks afterwards were a truly fun and event. It was clear how close the families were and I was able to take some pictures that reflected the love and affection between them.
Finally we headed outside to get some group shots. With the dramatic backdrop of Holdsworth House in the background we were able to get some great couples and group shots.
As I left the group made their way up to the wedding breakfast. The tables had been lovingly decorated by Diane herself with a rustic theme, and they looked gorgeous. They looked like they were in for a fantastic evening.
