I’m Rachael, a wedding photographer based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.  

I lived and worked overseas for 20 years, after passing my photography diploma in Moscow, Russia.  I’ve lived in Hong Kong, Cambodia and Thailand.  I returned to Yorkshire where I met my hubby and we now have a beautiful daughter and cheeky whippet.  This is my daughter on the left and you can see my cheeky whippet on the right!


I’m down to earth and relaxed.   I have never loved photography more.  I like my photos to be a true documentary record of the day.  But I also love to capture the mood, the light and the magic of the day in my photos with a creative lens.


I offer a  more personal service and try to get to know couples a little before we get to the big event.  When the wedding arrives I aim to go with the flow and photograph the day as it unfolds.   I combine this with my artistic vision and my experience to capture weddings with a stylish, authentic aesthetic.

I work hard to craft an individual approach to every couple and wedding. I have photographed a wide range of folks. I’m friendly, fun and flexible. If you are nervous about having your photo taken I’ll talk you through the process and put you at ease. If you are excited about being snapped, I’ll take that excitement and run with it. It’s all about a finding a tailored way to get the best elevated photos of day.

I blend photojournalism with creative vision. This enables me to capture an emotive gallery of images which will tell the story of your day. I'll include all the 'big moments', the "I dos" and significant kisses. I'll also document the tiny emotive fleeting moments of light and shapes, that encapsulate feelings and mood. So that you can relive the emotions and stories of the day, over and over again.

My best work comes when I shoot couples who see their wedding day as an opportunity to celebrate their relationship with friends and family.  I’ll shoot all the details, moments and magic but I especially love capturing candid shots of you and your guests.
