Albums
I provide luxury wedding albums, which will showcase the wonder of your day for years to come. We'll aim to illustrate the story of your day through a hand-picked collection of photos from your day. Using quality materials and top of the range printing, you'll have a family heirloom to cherish forever.
Getting Started
The first place to start is by looking at all your photo collections in your online gallery. If you go through Rachael's picks to start with, which will give you a sense of the day and then work your way through the other collections. As you do, keep an eye out for the photos that make you laugh or cry. Also ones that take you right back to a moment. Or ones that tell a story that you didn't see on the day. You can include ones you just like. But do remember that the best albums will have a selection of different types of photos. So, think some close-ups, some long shots, some details, some people, some moments etc.
Bridal Prep
This is where the day day began. Remember the anticipation, the excitement, the nerves. Getting your hair and make up done, laughing with your bridal party. You'll want a collection of photos that show both the details, and the moments. Start at the beginning and work your way through. Look for different people and also a mixture of black and white. Also think about showing the progression of the morning. From getting your hair and make up done to getting into the dress. You'll probably include any first looks, and, if available, some shots of the groom and his grooms men.
The Ceremony
However short or long, you'll absolutely want some photos of your ceremony. This is what it's all about! I'll have done my best to capture the main moments, but without being too intrusive. So hopefully you'll have a comprehensive memory of the key moments. Again, it's good, if you can, include a mixture of close ups and long shots. Try to include something from each moment. The number of pictures in this section will probably very, depending on how long your service was. If your ceremony was quite short (as many are) then don't worry too much, you can just include exchange of vows, rings, first kiss and signing. If it was a bit longer, you might want to think about also including readings, singing, photos of the venue and anyone giving the service.
Documenting the Day
Candid shots are my absolute best type of photos. I love taking them. There's nothing better than creeping round the wedding, trying to capture photos of people when they are not looking. I try to capture people smiling and looking their best. I'd love to have at least one shot of everyone from every wedding! I strongly advise advice adding some of these! As well as these, you will want to include any details, moments or other shots which illustrate the story of the day.
Wedding Breakfast
Photos from your wedding breakfast, that you might want to include are things like table decorations, seating plan, speeches, and most importantly people enjoying themselves. Usually, by this stage, folks are starting to get used to a camera lady lurking around, and with the confidence of a few drinks, people stop caring that I'm there. I often get some lovely shots at this stage of the day, both before everyone sits down and after the meal.
Posed Shots
You'll probably want to include a few posed shots in your album. You are looking for a range of group sizes and compilations. Think about who you would like to include. You are probably not going to fit all the posed group shots in, so you'l have to prioritise. I think it's also fun to include any more 'informal' group shots. Maybe we did some fun ones in the evenings with friends, maybe my second shooter caught you all from a different angle. These can add a flavour of the day too! You'll also want to include some couples shots too. We can make a big feature of these and I like to make a full double page spread of one if possible.
Evening
Last but not least, the evening shots. You'll want to add some pictures of the main events: cake and first dance. I think it's also nice to include some candid shots in this section. People are usually a bit more relaxed by this point and don't care as much about being in pictures. I can get some nice ones when they aren'y looking. Also, after first dance, we'll probably have tried to get some action shots on the dance floor. If there are any good ones, you might like to include them too!
Next Steps
Once you are ready, you can choose your photos. You'll need around 100 which is the top side of things. You can indicate your choice by creating a favourites list in your album.
When your list is complete, you can share it with me. If there are any requests let me know. For example, perhaps there is one couples shot that you have in mind for a double page spread. I will take the photos and requests and put together an album. Once this is done, I'll share the layout with you. From here we will discuss the changes that you would like making. I'll do any revisions and then hopefully we should be ready for printing!
The album will take up to 6 weeks to be with you.
