James and Lisa

It was a true 'Yorkshire' day in early March when I went up to The Pennine Manor Hotel to photograph the wedding of Lisa and James. The hotel, if you are unfamiliar is up at Scapegoat Hill out on the Moores. When I lived abroad it was days like this this that I missed when the weather is full of wildness and magic. I do love a brooding sky!!

The couple had stayed the night before and were both getting ready separately. Lisa had chosen to have eye catching red curls for a vintage style look paired with fancy converse boots. The colour scheme was lilac/purples that I felt really suited the heathers and colours of the surrounding countryside, making the for some breath taking couples shots. The guests were wonderfully laid back and everyone was very good humoured.

We were hooting with laughter at the confetti shot when the cannons all went off at different times, and a singing waiter really helped to ramp up the celebrations after dinner.

I left the couple and their evening guests dancing the night away downstairs in the intimate bar, to a play list I believe was curated by themselves.
